PARENTING : THE ULTIMATE YOGA PRACTICE Call for upcoming dates
A 6-Week Small group Worskshop in Conscious Parenting
at GOYoga in Williamsburg, Brooklyn @ 112 N. 6th Street/Berry (718-486-5602)
Parenting is an awesome responsibility alive with moments of love, inspiration , frustration and exhaustion. We have all had at one point, perhaps when our children were first born, a feeling of the kind of parent we wanted to be. Then “life” happens. We lose sight of these best parts of our selves and we begin to function from a kind of unconscious reactive auto-pilot. Yet all the time we sense there must be a better way. Through intentional mindful practice it is possible to find our way back.
Small groups now forming for parents looking for support, tools and inspiration on how to bring your Yoga practice “off the mat” and into your relationship with your children (family). The group will be educational, experiential and supportive. No experience in meditation or mindfulness practice is necessary.
Topics which will be covered in this six week group process:
How to enhance your Practice of Mindfulness - becoming more attuned to your own self and your child's emotions and needs.
Cultivating silent presence as a Parent - teaching through being
How our children are live-in Zen masters?
Making Conscious choices (The difference between reacting and responding with awareness)
How not to “Ride the Roller Coaster” - equanimity in the face of crisis
Embrace the concept of the “good enough parent”
The importance of Self care
